PSE index up for 2nd day

The main Philippine share index ended higher for the second straight day on Wednesday.
The peso declined to P50.92 against the US dollar from P50.765. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $930.6 million from $953.9 million on the previous day.
The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index finished at 7,352.85, up 125.95. In the broader market, there were 110 gainers, 74 losers and 48 unchanged.
Volume reached 1.27 billion shares worth P 9 billion from Tuesday's 1.48 billion shares valued at P9.6 billion.
Most active shares were led by Emperador, unchanged at P7.25; SM Investment Corp., up P16.50 to P1,000 and SM Prime, up 70 centavos to P39.60. DMS
