PSEi down, peso at P48.21:$1

The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEI) closed 54.38 points lower to 6,969.88 points on Friday.
In the broader market, there were 119 gainers, 85 losers and 54 unchanged.
Volume reached 1.8 billion shares worth P10.77 billion from Wednesday's 2.24 billion shares valued at P27.77 billion.
There was no trading on Thursday due to Typhoon ''Ulysses''.
Most active shares were led by BDO, down P1.30 to P93; Ayala Land, up P1.20 to P39.50 and BPI, down P2.65 to P81.70.
The Philippine peso closed at P48.21 against the US dollar from P48.27 on Wednesday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $669.1 million from Wednesday's $507.9 million. DMS
