”Quinta” now a typhoon, nears eastern area of Camarines Sur

''Quinta'' became a typhoon as it neared the eastern area of Camarines Sur, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Sunday.
In its 5 pm bulletin, Pagasa said ''Quinta'' is forecast to make landfall over the eastern coast of Camarines Sur between 6 pm and 8 pm. As of 4pm, ''Quinta'' was located 70 kilometers east-northeast of Legazpi City.
Pagasa said ''Quinta''will then traverse the Southern Luzon area until Monday afternoon and turn west-northwest over the West Philippine Sea.
Pagasa raised Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal Number Three over Catanduanes, the eastern portion of Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon and Burias and Ticao Islands.
''Quinta'' has winds of up to to 130 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 160 kilometers per hour. It is moving west at 25 kilometers per hour.
Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal Number Two is up over Camarines Norte, the rest of Camarines Sur, Masbate, the central and southern portions of Quezon, the southeastern portion of Laguna, Batangas, Marinduque, Romblon, Oriental Mindoro and Occidental Mindoro, including Lubang Island.
Metro Manila and the rest of Quezon and Laguna, Rizal, Cavite, Bulacan, Pampanga, Bataan, the southern portion of Zambales and Calamian Islands. DMS
