A low pressure area and the southwest monsoon are causing rains in Metro Manila that led mayors to suspend classes in all levels and work in some local government offices.
In a report, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administrator said at 3 am, a low pressure area was estimated at 915 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes.
