Royal Thai Navy contingents pay courtesy call to PN

Contingents of the Royal Thai Navy visited the Philippine Navy headquarters on Wednesday.
Lt. Commander Maria Christina Roxas, acting public affairs director of the Navy, said the RTN contingents paid a courtesy call on newly-installed Flag Officer in Command Rear Admiral Giovanni Carlo Bacordo.
"The RTN delegates headed by Vice Adm. Chanint Phadungkiat, Director of Maritime Enforcement Operations Command Center (Thai-MECC), and party renders courtesy call on the FOIC, PN Rear Adm. Giovanni Carlo J. Bacordo," she said.
"A warm reception was accorded by the Navy chief and the headquarters Philippine Navy staff to the visiting RTN-JUSMAG delegation," she added.
Roxas said both navies discussed further enhancement of their defense cooperation.
"Subsequently, Thai-MECC in cooperation with the United States Indo-Pacific Command’s J26-Partner Networks, JUSMAG-Thailand, also visited the Philippine Navy Headquarters and Maritime Research Information Center (MRIC)," she said.
"In order to promote stability, protection and cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region, the Philippine Navy is firmly committed to continuing and further enhancing its commitment to strengthen ties and friendship with other regional navies," she added. Robina Asido/DMS
