San Juan cops simulate lockdown
March 12, 2020
San Juan police conducted an exercise simulating a lockdown on Thursday.
Col. Jaime Santos, San Juan police chief, said in a phone interview: “It's just a dry-run in the event there would be an order.”
Santos said he is confident San Juan police can secure the 16 entry and exit points around the city.
At least five persons have been confirmed infected from COVID-19, said San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora.
Meanwhile, several public places Mandaluyong City were sanitized as part of the local government's efforts against COVID-19.
Mayor Menchie Abalos said among the places that were cleaned are the Shrine of the Divine Mercy and the city hall building along Maysilo street and the Marketplace shopping mall along Gen. Kalentong street.
Abalos asked residents to cooperate in their clean-up drive.
There is still no confirmed COVID-10 case in Mandaluyong. DMS
