Saudi Crown prince sends sympathy over Kyoto arson

Toky--Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has expressed his sympathy over last week's deadly arson attack on an animation studio in the western Japan city of Kyoto.
The crown prince, known as a fan of Japanese anime, conveyed his message of condolence to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe over the phone on Tuesday.
The studio of Kyoto Animation Co. burst into flames on Thursday after a man entered the building and ignited gasoline he scattered. A total of 34 people have been confirmed dead in the assault.
Elsewhere in the phone talks, the crown prince congratulated Abe for the ruling coalition's victory in Sunday's election of Japan's House of Councillors and the prime minister thanked him.
The two also exchanged opinions about the situation in the Middle East, including Iran. Jiji Press
