SEA Games organizers prepared for incoming typhoon

The Philippine Southeast Asian (SEA) Games Organizing Committee (Phisgoc) said they are prepared for the incoming typhoon.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Service Administration (Pagasa), Typhoon Kammuri is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) between Saturday (November 30) and Sunday morning (December 1).
The weather bureau added it will bring rains to most parts of Central Luzon, Bicol Region, Southern Luzon, and Metro Manila.
Phisgoc Chief Operating Officer Ramon Suzara assured that managers of sports event that might be affected by the typhoon have prepared 'contingency plans.
"All competition managers and sports have already prepared for a contingency plan even without the incoming typhoon. Everything is in place, especially for the outdoor sports," explained Suzara in a press conference at the New Clark City on Friday.
Suzara added that events are less likely to be cancelled or rescheduled despite the weather forecast.
He said the viewing public will not be allowed to watch the matches if there will be strong rains. He clarified that it will be implemented for the public's' safety. Cristina Eloisa Baclig/DMS
