February 6, 2020
A second Filipina household service worker was quarantined in Hong Kong following exposure to her employer who tested positive for 2019 novel corona virus acute respiratory disease.
In a report by the Consulate General, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said ''just like the first case, the said Filipina is healthy and asymptomatic but needs to undergo 14-day quarantine based on Hong Kong's protocol.''
''The DFA assures the public that the Philippine government has a vigilant and tested plan to ensure the health and the welfare of Filipinos domestically and overseas amid the concerns brought about by the 2019 nCov ARD outbreak,'' it said. DMS
