Several TNVS to go offline for 12 hours on Monday
July 3, 2019
Several transport network vehicle service (TNVS) groups will go offline from 6 am to 6 pm Monday to protest some policies of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
A media advisory from the Laban TNVS and labor group Defend Jobs Philippines said a press briefing is set Thursday at Max's Restaurant at the Quezon Memorial Circle.
The group claims the LTFRB is not consistent in procedures for registration and application of TNVS units. It adds that processing of provisional authority and certificate of public convenience are slow.
The groups are pushing for hatchbacks to be declared TNVS units.
LTFRB chairman Martin Delgra III earlier said hatchbacks are not up to standards based on government regulations. DMS
