South Korean arrested in alleged drug kitchen lab in QC

Authorities arrested a South Korean inside an alleged drug kitchen lab in Quezon City last Tuesday.
The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) identified the suspect as Jungkil Kim alias Joseph, 57, and a resident of 3035 Tower 3 Grass Residence located at Nueva Vizcaya Street, corner Misamis Street in Barangay Sto. Cristo.
Kim was arrested after combined elements of National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Manila Police District (MPD) and Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Station 2 – Masambong Police Station implemented a search warrant inside his home in Quezon City.
Police Brigadier General Debold Sinas, the acting NCRPO chief, said the suspect is most likely a chemist and his house was tagged as an alleged drug kitchen laboratory.
Recovered from the suspect were several laboratory instruments, essential chemicals, precursors and 11 packs of undetermined quantity of white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu.
NCRPO said all seized pieces of evidence were placed under the custody of the raiding team for the moment. The case will be handled by the NBI.
The officer-in-charge of the Philippine National Police (PNP) lauded the successful operation of MPD, QCPD and NBI.
“As earlier stated, the PNP’s campaign against high value targets will remain relentless to stop the supply of illegal drugs,” PNP said in a statement. Ella Dionisio/DMS
