Stock index down, but peso ends at P51.765:$1

The main share index declined but the peso gained against the US dollar on Friday.
The peso closed at P51.765 from Thursday's P51.835. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $998.4 million from the previous session's $690.5 milli9n.
The Philippine Stock Exchange index closed at 7,880.82 points, down 74.98 points. In the broader market, there were 121 decliners, 71 gainers while 45 shares were unchanged.
Volume reached 595.8 million shares worth P7.03 billion from Thursday's 825,43 million shares valued at P7.29 billion.
Most traded shares were led by Ayala Land, down 0.21 percent to P 46.60; Jollibee, down 2.27 percent to P310 and ICTSI, down 2.97 percent to P127.30. DMS
