Stock index flat, but peso gains vs US dollar

Philippine stocks ended flat but the peso gained against the US dollar on Monday.
The peso ended at P51.645 from P51.89 on Friday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $829.16 million from the previous session's $902.45 million.
The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index finished at 8,060.58 points, up 5.11 points. In the broader market, there were 98 losers, 88 gainers and 50 shares unchanged.

Most active shares were led by Ayala Land, up P1.04 to P51.50; BDO, up 20 centavos to P141.50 and Ayala Corp., down one peso to P897. DMS
