Stock index, peso end lower

The main Philippine stock index fell by more than one percent, or 105.68 points to 7,862.30 on Monday.
The peso finished at P51.925 against the US dollar from P51.85. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $770.33 million shares from the previous session's $707.2 million.
In the broader market, there were 146 decliners, 56 gainers and 35 shares unchanged.
Volume reached 719,4 million shares worth P6.26 billion from Friday's 788.07 million shares valued at P8.18 billion.
Most active shares were led by Ayala Land, down 1.27 percent to P46.80; Ayala Corp., down 0.22 percent to P898 and ICTSI, down 6.36 percent to P128. DMS
