Stock index, peso end lower

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index closed one percent lower on Friday.
The peso closed ten centavos lower against the US dollar to P52.25. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $1.232 billion from $1.078 billion on Thursday.
The PSE index finished at 7, 797.11 points, down 84.68 points. In the broader market, there were 111 decliners, 94 gainers while 46 shares were unchanged.
Volume reached 1.099 billion shares worth P5.3 billion from Thursday's 2.12 billion shares valued at P5.84 billion.
Most traded shares were led by ICTSI, unchanged at P114; 8990 Holdings, down 0.83 percent to P11.90 and Ayala Land, down 0.92 percent to P43. DMS
