Stocks close higher

The Philippine Stock Exchange index closed 26.03 points higher to 7,988.16 on Tuesday.
In the broader market, there were 104 decliners and 91 gainers while 51 shares were unchanged.
Volume reached 1.15 billion valued P10.93 billion from Friday's 1.51 billion shares worth P8.01 billion.
Most active shares were led by BDO, up 1.55 percent to P131; Ayala Land, up 1.01 percent to P44.95 and San Miguel Corp., up 0.56 percent to P180.
The peso closed at P52.025 against the US dollar after closing at P52.065 on Friday. Volume reached $909.11 million from the previous session's $1.234 billion. DMS
