Stocks end flat, peso slightly lower

Philippine stocks were slightly higher but the peso declined against the US dollar on Thursday.
The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index settled at 7,268.38 points, up 2.93. In the broader marker, there were 107 gainers, 96 decliners and 53 shares unchanged.
The peso closed at P52.41 from P52.35 on Wednesday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines fetched $914.63 million from the previous day's $727.65 million.
Volume at the PSE reached 888.05 million shares worth P 5.4 billion from Wednesday 902.68 million valued at P7.06 billion.
Most active shares were led by ISM Communications, up 7.78 percent to P6.79; Metrobank, up 0.07 percent to P72 and Alliance Global, up 2.42 percent to P6.79. DMS
