Stocks end lower on last trading day of 2018

Philippine stocks ended lower on Friday, with the main stock index failing to end the year at the 7,500-point level. The Philippine Stock Exchange index closed at 7,466.02 points, down 16.64 points. In the broader market, there were 118 gainers, 81 decliners and 48 shares unchanged. Volume reached 1.3 billion shares worth P5.7 billion from Thursday's 1.55 billion shares valued at P5.16 billion. Most active shares were led by BDO, up 0.85 percent to P130.80; Ayala Land, unchanged at P40.60 and Ayala Corp., down 0.55 percent to P980. DMS
