Stocks higher, peso unchanged

Philippine stocks closed higher while the peso closed unchanged at P52.65 against the US dollar on Monday.
The Philippine Stock Exchange index finished at 7,873.02 points, up 74.74. In the broader market, there were 94 gainers, 93 decliners and 54 unchanged.
Volume reached 1.7 billion shares worth P5,32 billion from Friday's 1.37 billion shares valued at P20.8 billion.
Most traded shares were led by BDO, unchanged at P132; Ayala Land, up 0.81 percent to P43.45 and Ayala Corp., up 1.03 percent to P930. DMS
