Stocks, peso end flat

Philippine stocks and the peso ended flat on Tuesday.
The peso ended at P51.31 against the US dollar from P51.32 on Monday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $761.92 million from the previous day's $651.48 million.
The Philippine Stock Exchange ( PSE) Index closed at 8,042.04 points, down 9.48 points. In the broader market, there were 125 losers, 71 gainers and 44 shares unchanged.
Volume reached 1.57 billion shares worth P5.84 billion from Monday's 949.01 million shares valued at P5.63 billion.
Most traded shares were led by SM Investment Corp., down P10 to P950; Ayala Land, down 65 centavos to P51.45; BPI, up 30 centavos to P78.30, ISM Communications, down 77 centavos to P6.07 and Chelsea Logistics, down 87 centavos to P 8.15. DMS
