Stocks, peso end lower

Stocks and the peso ended lower on Monday.
The peso settled at P51.32 against the US dollar from P51.195 on Friday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines (BAP) reached $651.48 million from the previous session's $770.24 million.
The Philippine Stock Exchange ( PSE) Index closed at 8,051.52, down 66.42 points. In the broader market, there were 119 losers, 74 gainers while 50 shares were unchanged.
Volume rose to 949.01 million worth P5.63 billion from Friday's 759.24 million valued at P5.49 billion.
Most active issues were Ayala Land, down 10 centavos to P52.10; Universal Robina Corp., up P 2.00 to P178; ICTSI, down P2.50 to P 142.20 and SM Prime, down 45 centavos to P37.80. DMS
