Stocks, peso end lower

Stocks ended lower on Thursday, with the Philippine Stock Exchange index settling at 7, 563,41 points, down 16.21 points.
In the broader market, there were 117 gainers, 78 decliners and 42 shares unchanged.
Volume reached 875.14 million shares worth P5.88 billion from Wednesday's 1.23 billion shares valued at P5.97 billion.
Most traded shares were led by Leisure and Resorts World, up 5.03 percent to P3.55; Ayala Land, up 2.66 percent to P42.05 and Ayala Corp., up 0.44 percent to P918.
The peso ended slightly lower against the US dollar to P53.10 from the previous day's p53.07. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines amounted to $685.92 million from $658.85 million. DMS
