Stocks, peso slightly higher

Philippine stocks ended slightly higher while the peso gained against the US dollar on Tuesday.
The peso closed at P52.445 from Monday's P52.52. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines (BAP) reached $770.05 million from Monday's $886.2 million.
The Philippine Stock Exchange ( PSE) index finished at 7,907.03 points, up 44.01 points. In the broader market, there were 113 gainers, 76 decliners while 42 shares were unchanged.
Volume reached 971.3 million worth P5,4 billion from Monday's 708.8 million valued at P5.39 billion
Most traded shares were led by Ayala Land, up 1.48 percent to P44.50; Filinvest, 0.50 percent to P15.98 and Jollibee, down 0.19 percent to P316,60. DMS
