Strong quake hits Eastern Japan including Tokyo

Tokyo--A strong earthquake hit eastern Japan areas including Tokyo on Saturday, measuring up to lower 5, the fifth highest in the country's nine-notch seismic intensity scale, according to the Meteorological Agency.
The maximum reading was registered in the town of Chonan, Chiba Prefecture, east of Tokyo, around 3:20 p.m. (6:20 a.m. GMT).
Tokyo's Chuo Ward and the city of Chiba experienced 4 on the Japanese scale.
The quake occurred at a depth of about 40 kilometers in the southern part of Chiba Prefecture. Its magnitude is estimated at 5.1. Jiji Press
