March 26, 2019

A woman was allegedly chopped to pieces by her live-in partner at their home in Angeles City, Pampanga, police said Tuesday.

Chief Superintendent Joel Napoleon Coronel, Central Luzon police director, said the victim was Lindsey Avelino, 28, a sales agent whose dismembered body parts were found in a washing machine and trolley bag held by her partner and prime suspect, Eduardo Pasion, 40.

Pasion was killed in an alleged shootout with policemen in Barangay Pampang at 7 p.m.

Quoting a police report, Coronel said neighbors overheard Pasion and the victim arguing at their apartment on Sunday.

On Monday, residents alerted police about Pasion looking restless while locking the door of their apartment in Barangay Sta. Teresita

Neighbors became suspicious when they saw Pasion leaving while carrying a black trolley bag.

A follow-up operation at the suspect's workplace led to a shootout after he reportedly pulled out a handgun and shot a policemen.

Pasion was killed during the exchange of gunfire.

Police have yet to determine Pasion's motive. DMS
