Suspect killed in Laguna police operation

One died in during a police operation in Laguna, Monday morning.
Police Colonel Eleazar Matta, the Laguna provincial director, a firefight took place during a buy-bust operation in Purok 3, Barangay Mamatid, Cabuyao City which caused the suspect's death.
The suspect was selling one Colt 1911 A caliber 45 pistol and a magazine for P15,000. Police said the suspect sensed that he was dealing with cops.
Investigation said the suspect drew out his gun and fired at the police. Authorities fired back, and suspect sustained a gunshot wound in his chest.
His cohort escaped on a motorcycle and drove to Barangay Uweisan in Calamba.
The suspect was brought to Ospital ng Cabuyao but was declared dead on arrival.
Police was able to recover one revolver with three fired cartridge cases and two live ammunition and two fired cartridge cases.
Also recovered from the suspect were the buy-bust money, three live ammunition of caliber 38, a lighter, and a heat-sealed suspected shabu inside a yellow green colored metal container. Cristina Eloisa Baclig/DMS
