Suspected killer of forest ranger arrested in Palawan

A suspect in the killing of a forest ranger in Palawan on Wednesday was wounded as he chose to shoot it out against policemen on Saturday.

Lt. Col. Socrates Faltado, spokesman of the Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan)  police, said Ruel Fulgencio, 39, was arrested in Barangay Corong-Corong in El Nido at around 4 p.m

Fulgencio was brought to a hospital for gunshot wound on the right foot.

Fulgencio is suspected of killing forest ranger Bienvenido Veguilla in Barangay Pasadena. Another suspect, identified as Fernan Flores.  was arrested earlier. DMS
