SWS survey says 38 percent of Filipinos say lives improved in last 12 months

A Social Weather Stations ( SWS) quarterly survey conducted on March 28-31, found 38 percent of adult Filipinos saying their lives improved compared to 21 percent saying their lives worsened in the last 12 months.
The net gainer score is +17, classified by SWS as very high, the polling firm said Friday.
The net gainers improved for the second straight quarter after dropping to -2 in September 2018. It It went up to +12 in December 2018.
Net personal optimists remain “excellent” at +47
The March 2019 survey found 50 percent expecting their personal quality of life to improve in the next 12 months, and four percent expecting it to get worse,
The March survey also found 45 percent of adults optimistic about the Philippine economy saying it will improve in the next 12 months.
Another 10 percent are pessimistic about it which gives a Net Economic Optimists score of +35, classified as excellent.
The five-point rise in the national bet gainers score was due to increases in all areas except in Mindanao where it decreased by 2 points, from +18 in December 2018 to +16 in March.
Net gainers rose by nine points in the Visayas, from +3 in December to +12 in March.
It rose by seven points in Metro Manila, from +14 in December to +21 in March. It rose by six points in Balance Luzon, from +13 (very high) in December to +19 (very high) in March. DMS
