Taiwanese national arrested in anti-drug operation

A Taiwanese national who allegedly possessed P250 million worth of shabu was arrested Saturday evening by anti-narcotics policemen in Paranaque City. About 50 kilos of shabu in plastic packs were seized from Chen Taho Chang, 56, a resident of Binan City, Laguna, inside his vehicle. "This was the product of several months of surveillance," said Superintendent Enrico Rigor, spokesman of the Philippine National Police - Drug Enforcement Group (PNP- DEG). Chen was arrested around 6 p.m. at the parking area of Red Planet Hotel along Macapagal Boulevard after police got information he was about to deliver the shabu to an unidentified person, Rigor said Police are preparing charges against Chen for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
