Three arrested, shabu seized in Cubao buy bust

About P34,000 worth of shabu was seized in a buy-bust operation at Cubao, Quezon City early Thursday.

According to a report from Cubao police, around 1 am officers arrested three suspected users and sellers of illegal drugs along Aurora Boulevard in Barangay Socorro.

Arrested were Melvin Sagayno, Evangeline Patcheco, and Risalyn Quiason. Police noted that Patcheco and Quiason were previously nabbed for alleged selling and possession of illegal drugs.

Authorities seized 32 pieces of small and one medium-heat transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu with a total weight of around five grams.

They also confiscated a coin purse, a cellular phone, a motorcycle and P500 bill used as buy-bust money.

The suspects will be charged with selling of illegal drugs, possession of illegal drugs, and conspiracy to sell illegal drugs. Cristina Eloisa Baclig/DMS
