Three inmates die in stabbing incident in Bilibid
March 25, 2020
The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) on Wednesday said three inmates died in a stabbing incident inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City.
In a report to the Department of Justice on Wednesday, BuCor said inmate Pedro Pagador suddenly stabbed Ryan Aringgo and Amber Caja using an improvised knife inside the national penitentiary’s Maximum Security Compound at 3:30 p.m.
Other inmates tried to stop Pagador, who was injured in the ensuing riot.
The victims were rushed to the NBP Hospital where they died at 3:45 am Wednesday.
The BuCor said inmates claimed that Pagador became unruly due to his concern over his good conduct time allowance.
The DOJ said investigation is going on to determine Pagador’s motive. DMS
