Three suspects die in police buy-bust in Navotas

Three alleged drug suspects died in an encounter with authorities in Navotas City early Wednesday morning.
The Northern Police District said the incident happened around 2:51 am along North Bay Blvd, Champaca St, Agora Market in Brgy. NBBS Proper, Navotas City where operatives from Navotas City Police Station were conducting buy-bust operation against the suspect.
After the suspects handed over the sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be “shabu” to the poseur buyer, they sensed that they were dealing with police operatives prompting them to fire at the policemen.
Policemen exchanged fire with the suspects which resulted in the death of three persons while one escaped.
Authorities recovered three pistols, assorted ammunition, magazines, cartridges, and five pieces of shabu.
