Time Magazine may be mistaken for Ressa’s inclusion in 100 Most Influential Women of the century – Palace

Malacanang said on Friday Time Magazine could have been mistaken for including Rappler CEO Maria Ressa as one of its Most Influential Women of the century.
"You can be correct all the time. Mistakes happen. Maybe this is one of them," Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo on Ressa, a known critic of the Duterte administration.
Time included Ressa in its 100 Women of the Year project. Ressa was Time's Woman of the Year in 2018. Also included was former President Corazon Aquino, who was named by the magazine as Woman of the Year in 1986.
Panelo, however, said, "if that is the perception of those who measured her (Ressa), we cannot do anything."
"She's a good journalist as far as I'm concerned, except that she cannot go over beyond her biases," he said.
Ressa has been facing tax evasion charges over Rappler's alleged failure to pay the right taxes. Celerina Monte/DMS
