Tropical Depression ”Goring” heads northeast to Batanes

Tropical Depression ''Goring'' maintained its strength as it heads northeast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported Friday.
According to its second severe weather bulletin posted at 5 pm, the center of ''Goring'' was last tracked at 380 kilometers north-northeast of Basco, Batanes.
Pagasa said Goring is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) Friday evening.
Goring has maximum winds of 45 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 60 kilometers per hour.
Pagasa said Goring is moving northeast at 30 kilometers per hour.
Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal Number 1 was raised over Batanes where moderate to at times heavy rains are expected.
Pagasa added light to moderate to occasional heavy rains will be experienced over Ilocos Region and Babuyan Group of Islands.
