Two alleged NPAs killed in encounter with military in Bukidnon

Two alleged members of New People's Army ( NPA) were killed in a 10-minute encounter with government troops in Bukidnon on Sunday.
1Lt. Krescelle Renoblas, public affairs officer of the 65th Infantry Battalion, said soldiers encountered the alleged NPA rebels in the vicinity of Barangay San Rafael, Talakag around 7:50 am.
"Government troops were on security operation when they encountered Squad 1, Platoon 1 under @ Kira of Sub Regional Sentro de Gravidad, Sub Regional Committee 5 (SRC 5) under North Central Mindanao Regional Command ," he added.
Troops also recovered two M-16 and one M-14 riffle in the encounter site.
The cadavers will be properly turned over to the municipal police station of Talakag for proper disposition and identification, he said. Robina Asido/DMS
