Two anti-drug operations in QC by PDEA yield P170m of illegal drugs

Two separate operations in Quezon City by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Authority (PDEA) yielded a total of P170 million worth of illegal drugs last Tuesday.
In a report, PDEA NCR director Joel Plaza, said the first operation transpired around 4:30 pm at Barangay Siena where a Chinese and two Filipinos were arrested.
Seized were ten 10 pieces of transparent plastic packs containing one kilogram of white crystalline substance suspected as shabu for a total of 10 kilograms, with a standard drug price of P 68,000,000; and two vehicles.
Around 7:30 pm, another operation was conducted inside the Quezon City Memorial Circle.
Arrested was another Chinese suspected to be a member of a an international drug syndicate involved in illegal sale and distribution of dangerous drugs in NCR.
"The suspect has been placed for surveillance for almost three weeks upon receiving information," said Plaza.
Seized were 15 pieces of transparent plastic packs weighing around 15 kilograms with a standard drug price of P102,000,000 and one unit of cargo van vehicle.
