Two barangay councilors shot dead in Negros Oriental

Two barangay councilors died after they were shot by two unidentified suspects in Bayawan City, Negros Oriental on Thursday.
A report from Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office said they were Felipe Condez Jr, 60 and Jonesis Conde, 31, of Barangay Kalamtukan.
Initial investigation disclosed the two victims were onboard a motorcycle on their way home from Bayawan City.
Around 10:30 am, two unidentified suspects also onboard a motorcycle drove close to the victims and shot them dead.
Authorities believed the suspects were following them.
A hot pursuit operation was conducted to arrest the suspects. Ella Dionisio/DMS
