Two cops hurt in ambush by Abu Sayyaf in Sulu

Two policemen were hurt in an ambush by the Abu Sayyaf in Sulu on Tuesday morning.
In a report, Police Col. Pablo Labra II, Sulu provincial director said wounded were Police Master Sergeant Al-nidzfar Erajio and Patrolman Jordan Changlapon both of the Patikul municipal police station.
Labra said based on initial report the encounter occured at the vicinity of Brgy. Kan Ague, Patiku around 8:30 am.
He said the personnel of Patikul Municipal Police Station we're providing security escort to the teachers of the Department of Education from Jolo and en route to Brgy. Taung, Patikul when they were attacked by around 10 Abu Sayyaf members.
Labra said the wounded policemen were brought to the Integrated Provincial Health Office in Sulu. Robina Asido/DMS
