Two dead, three hurt as ambulance falls into cliff

BAGUIO CITY -- Two died while three are being treated at a hospital after the ambulance they were riding fell off into a ravine at around 7 am Tuesday along sitio Bad-ey, Doddo, Barangay Talubin, Bontoc.
The ambulance, owned by Hungduan Municipal Hospital of Hungduan town in Ifugao, came from the Luis Hora Regional Hospital in Abatan, Bauko, Mountain Province and was heading back to Ifugao when the mishap occurred.
Bontoc Municipal Health Officer Diga Gomez, who was at the site of the accident, said Earole Kurt Akiate, 21, and Franklin Angawa, driver of the van, died on the spot. Both are natives of Hapao, Hungduan, Ifugao.
The other victims were Rexton Abluyen Duyapat 20; Nelda Joy Angawa Tapyugon, 23, from Hapao and social worker of Hungduan Municipal Hospital; and Anabelle Attang, 32, nursing attendant of Hungduan Municipal hospital. All three are residents of Hapao, Hungduan.
Duyapat and Tapyugon are confined at the Bontoc General Hospital while Attang was transfered to Luis Hora Regional Memorial Hospital. DMS
