Two drug suspects die in Batangas buy-bust operation

Two alleged drug suspects died they shot it out with police while resisting arrest during a buy bust operation in Batangas early Tuesday morning, police said.
In a report from the Calabarzon police, operatives from Padre Garcia Municipal Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit and Regional Mobile Force Battalion 4A conducted the operation in Barangay Banaba around 1:15 am against two suspects.
Initial investigation showed the suspects resisted arrest, pushed the arresting DEU operatives who acted as poseur buyers and drew their firearms and shot at the police.
This prompted the operatives to return fire, killing the suspects. Authorities confiscated six sachets of suspected shabu amounting to P1.7 million. Ella Dionisio/DMS
