Two sons of MILF commander wounded in shooting incident in Maguindanao

Two sons of a Moro Islamic Liberation Front ( MILF) commander were wounded in a shooting incident in Maguindanao on Monday morning.
Major. Arvin Encinas, spokesman of the 6th Infantry Division, said a still unidentified gunban positioned near the house of Brgy.Old Maganoy Chairman Mohammad Ampatuan allegedly fired a cal. 45 pistol and immediately left around 9:40 am.
Encinas said the incident resulted in the wounding of the sons of Commander Datu Item of 106 Base Command of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).
They were identified as Tato Ampatuan Lintang who was hit in his arm and Dong Ampatuan Lintang who sustained gunshot wound in his jaw.
Encinas said prior to the incident supporters of still unknown politicians were throwing stones at the vicinity of Old Maganoy Elementary School in Brgy. Old Maganoy, Datu Abdullah Sangki, Maguindanao.
He said the shooting incident happened after the warring groups left the vicinity of the school which is located on the same barangay.
Encinas said after the shooting incident troops scoured the area and recovered one empty shell of a cal 45. in an area which is around 70 meters outside the vicinity of the elementary school.
“The empty shell was immediately turned over to the personnel of Datu Abdullah Sangki Municipal Police Station for proper disposition,” he said. Robina Asido/DMS
