Two victims hurt in vehicular accident in Tondo

Two victims were injured in a vehicular accident in Manila on Thursday, police reported on Saturday.

The Manila Police District (MPD) identified the victim as C-Jay Calderon, 12, and Jay-C Calderon, 5, both residents of 1915 Capulong St. Tondo.

The vehicular accident happened along Juan Luna St. corner Capulong St. in Tondo around 11:40 am.

Based on initial report, the victims were riding a bicycle while travelling eastward direction along Capulong St., when they were hit at the intersection area by an armored van driven by Simplicio Calma Jr. The van was travelling north along Juan Luna St.

During the incident, Jay-C, the younger victim  was "dragged underneath and suffered serious physical injuries." while the other victim, his older brother was injured.

The victims were rushed to Jose Reyes Medical Center for medical treatment. Robina Asido/DMS
