US Coast Guard ship arriving next week

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Cutter to visit the country next week, a Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) official said Friday.
Capt. Armando Balilo, PCG spokesman, said USCG Cutter is set to arrive in Pier 15 South Harbor, Manila.
In its advisory, PCG said the US Coast Guard vessel will conduct exercises with its Filipino counterpart during their visit.
“A US Coast Guard (USCG) National Security Cutter is enroute to the Western Pacific to engage in professional exchanges and capacity-building training exercise with the Philippine Ccoast Guard patrolling and conducting operations as directed,” it stated.
The PCG said a press conference is scheduled to be conducted after the arrival of the USCG in Manila. Robina Asido/DMS
