Woman barangay councilor shot dead in Laguna

A woman barangay councilor who was going home from quarantine duties was shot dead by a gunman in Binan City, Laguna on Sunday.
Melody Quijano, 39, was riding a motorcycle in Barangay Dela Paz at around 1:55 am when she was shot several times, a police report said.
People bought Quijano to Unihealth Hospital where physicians pronounced her dead on arrival.
Crime scene probers recovered six bullet casings and two deformed bullets.
Police are looking for the gunman who fled towards an alley. DMS
