Coast Guard Seals Off Taal Volcano Island

Manila Shimbun TV joined the Philippine Coast Guard in laying down the first of 49 orange-colored bouys around Taal lake which will mark the 7-kilometer permanent danger zone from Taal Volcano. The government has declared it will relocate about 6,000 residents of volcano island. it has also maintained the lockdown of several villages in Laurel and Agoncillo towns which are within the 7-kilometer radius from the volcano. Volcanologists have brought down the alert level from 4 to 3 but warns that the restive volcano could act up again and erupt.
