Japan delivers last 2 MRRVs to Philippine Coast Guard

The Philippine Coast Guard received the last two of the ten 44-meter multi-role response vessels from Japan which were first delivered in 2016. The BRP Cape Engaño and BRP Bagacay were turned over in a ceremony held at PCG Headquarters on August 23, 2018. The 10 vessels were all named after Philippine lighthouses. Coast Guard Commandant Rear Admiral Nelson Hermogino said the MRRVs “will greatly improve the capacity and performance of the agency.”
